Nursing Home Ombudsman Program
The Ombudsman Program administered by the Senior Source, advocates for nursing home residents and investigates complaints received from residents of nursing homes, family members, and/or others. They help to achieve equitable resolutions and report findings, when necessary, to the appropriate state agency. In addition to recruiting, training and certifying volunteers to be Ombudsman, the program also recruits and places volunteers to serve as Friendly Visitors in area nursing homes.
