Be a Volunteer or Mentor!
Do you have 6 hours a
month to donate to children?
Like the challenge of
working with children?
Thinking of a career in
Community Development and want to know more?
Want to be involved with
impacting the lives of at-risk youth?
If you answered “yes” to even one of these
questions, you might be the person we are looking for.
Volunteers come from all over Dallas County: They are
students; they are retired; they are accountants,
parents, and government employees – in other words,
regular people.
Volunteers can be college interns, serve as members
of a community committee, tutors, or work on a
particular project. You can choose where and what you
want to do as a volunteer, and do it so it fits your
schedule.
In the past 10 years more than 200 people have
volunteered their time with the Dallas Community Youth
Development (CYD) Programs in Dallas Zip Codes 75216 and
75217. It's easy to become a volunteer:
·
Agree to a
criminal history background check.
·
Attend
orientation and training that offers an overview of our
mission and philosophy.
